Who We Are

Michael Temple - Owner

Mike has been in the irrigation industry since 1994 when he installed his first system. At the time, he was studying to earn his B.S. in horticulture and landscape design from Auburn University while he was the owner of a landscape maintenance company. After graduating from Auburn, he moved to the Charlotte, NC region where he worked for an irrigation materials distributor as the irrigation department manager for two years. In 1999, Mike became a project manager for a respected irrigation consulting firm and remained there until starting Irrigation Innovations, LLC.

Mike has experience with projects of all sizes ranging from small residential gardens to large multi-field athletic complexes, as well as rainwater harvesting, green roofs, pumping systems, filtration and construction oversight.  Mike is active in the irrigation industry and currently serves on the Irrigation Association Certification Board.  His certifications include the following:

Certified Irrigation Designer (CID) - Residential, Commercial and Golf Course

Certified Irrigation Contractor (CIC)

Certified Landscape Water Manager (CLWM)

Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor (CLIA)

Certified Golf Course Irrigation Auditor (CGIA)

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP)
